In Stock Men’s Runabout Shoe: Whiskey

I am wearing these shoes for the first time today. Only a few hours in, here are my thoughts:

1. They look absolutely fantastic. The look on is even better than on the website.

2. The quality is excellent. Clean stitching, quality Vibram sole, premium leather.

3. Comfort- good, but here is where they lose 1/2 a star. The leather is quality, but unlined and not super soft. Could not describe as supple. I don’t think that’s what they’re going for in a boat shoe, so no concern from my standpoint, but I did think they’d be a little softer.

I love these shoes. I have had them for about one year now. They are comfy to wear all day, and look great. Sizing is spot on for me; I wear a 7.5 in the Quoddy boat shoe and got the same size for this shoe, which I wear barefoot in warmer months.

I love the look and the comfortable fit of this shoe!

I did have to order a size up - normally an 8.5 (sometimes with no socks, 8) but I had done an 8.5 previously and had to return them largely due to how tight these were across the laces. I ended up really wanting them to work so gave it another go when on sale but went with the 9 (sized up 1/2 size) and they're perfect. Highly recommended.

First of all, the shoes looked great, but they were too small, and walking in them even a couple of steps hurt like heck. So they had to be returned. But here is the thing: unlike 90% of your online purchases, you pay both to have them shipped to you ($15) AND to return them for credit ($17 by USPS). And these are not inexpensive shoes. So they don't fit, they give you blisters, and you're out $32 for shipping. I very much regret purchasing from Quoddy.
